About Unlucky Umbrella Studio

Who We Are

We are founded on the idea that marketing firms should prioritize helpfulness. Even if we can’t accomplish your goals, we can point you in the right direction to help support your success. Marketing is an industry where many of our competitors offer the world, but tend to leave you high and dry after they've secured the contract. Our goal is to be practical when tackling your marketing and show progress every step of the way.

Our team is based in Columbus, Ohio, but we work with clients across the nation. Let’s connect and explore how we can help you achieve your business goals.

About Our Founder

Kasandra Murray is a creative strategist and operations innovator dedicated to building businesses where people and processes thrive together. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Kasandra discovered her passion for creativity at an early age, which led her to earn a degree in Illustration with a focus on Graphic Design from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

Her career began in print marketing, where she quickly advanced to the role of Creative and Operations Manager. In this role, she developed innovative training programs and operational frameworks that empowered managers and trainers to lead employee-first organizations.

Kasandra’s unique approach—blending creativity with operational efficiency—offers businesses a fresh perspective: marketing drives growth, but operations sustain it. Her methods, including the Operations Improvement Funnel, are designed to reduce employee workload, improve product quality, and deliver seamless customer experiences.

With over a decade of experience training employees and leadership teams, Kasandra now leads Unlucky Umbrella Studio, a consultancy focused on Creative Operations—a methodology that aligns internal processes with marketing and creative strategies to achieve sustainable business success.

Kasandra continues to help organizations transform their operations into people-centered systems that foster innovation, efficiency, and growth.
